A new extruder communication cable
¶ Instruction
¶ Preparation
Turn the power switch OFF (symbol "〇") and unplug the power supply cable.
¶ Remove the old extruder communication cable

Loosen the screws securing the extruder communication cable with a 1.5 mm Allen key. Remove the screws with a pair of tweezers.

Unplug the extruder communication cable and the auxiliary cooling fan cable.

Release and remove the screw securing the clip with a 2.5 mm Allen key. Remove the clip from extruder communication cable.

Remove the plugs from the X-axis limit switch and the X-axis motor.

Remove the snap.

Loosen the five screws securing the bottom cover with a Phillips screwdriver. Open the bottom cover carefully.

Disconnect the cable of the motherboard cooling fan and remove the bottom cover.

Loosen the screws securing the cable ties with a Phillips screwdriver. Cut off the cable ties with a pair of pliers and remove them.

Remove the plugs of the network extension cable and the extruder communication cable.

Organize the cables. Remove the old extruder communication cable.
¶ Install the new extruder communication cable

Get the new extruder communication cable and insert the plugs.

Secure the wires with cable ties. Cut off the ends of the cable ties.

Tighten the screws securing the cable ties with a Phillips screwdriver.

Prepare the bottom cover. Plug in the cable of the motherboard cooling fan.

Tighten the screws securing the bottom cover with a Phillips screwdriver．

Install the cable snap.

Get the cable clip and install it on the extruder communication cable.

Put the clip in the installation position. Tighten the screw securing the clip.

Insert the plugs of the X-axis limit switch and the X-axis motor.

Insert the plugs of the extruder communication cable and the auxiliary cooling fan cable.

Tighten the two screws securing the extruder communication cable.

Put the touch screen on the bracket and plug in the connection wire.
¶ Verification

Plug in the power supply cable and turn the power switch ON (symbol "|").
-
Check that all functions of the extruder communication cable are working properly via the touchscreen. The printer is ready for use.
